Today I got to substitute for my mentor teacher in my third grade class with my student-teaching kiddos. SO much fun to see them again. Now I have this little boy, "J", who is a bit of a nerd. My teacher had a family emergency and was out Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I've basically been teaching my third grade class for the last three days while the paid sub watched. I'm beyond exhausted. And I've been working 9 and 10 hour days all week.

While checking over my kids' writing notebooks today to see if they had written down at least 8 ideas for possible writing topics, I noticed that one of my little boys had written, "Write a story about a mad timelord who lives in a blue box."
